Ministry of Education Theme for 2009 – 2010. All the Units in the Ministry of Education met in September of this year to present reports on last years activities and also to make projections for the new academic year. The theme for the Education Department for the 2009 - 2010 academic year:
Facilitating Professionalism and Promoting Efficiency in Education
Heads of Departments/Institutions/Offices are encouraged to discuss this with your staff to formulate and implement at least one activity per term in keeping with this theme. All Offices are expected to submit annual plans as early as possible in the new academic year, so as to facilitate greater collaboration and better support each other. The theme of course speaks to professional development and schools likewise are encouraged to include professional development sessions in their annual plans. We look forward to a very progressive and productive year in the Ministry of Education.
